Meet the team: Liam Burton – TUI SENSATORI Entertainment Manager

News & Stories

Meet Liam Burton, one of our talented Entertainment Managers with TUI SENSATORI!

Liam has been with us for 15 years, making a successful transition from stage to management in what has been an exciting career.

It’s a journey that has taken him to more than 10 countries around the world, and we caught up with him as he prepares for the 2019 season in TUI SENSATORI Resort Rhodes.

So Liam, let’s start with the countries… where have you worked for us?

I started in the UK, based in locations around the Isle of Wight, Wales and Essex for a leading holiday park company. Then I moved abroad to numerous locations around Europe and in the Caribbean, now I am preparing to head out to Rhodes.

Over the years, how have you found rehearsals?

As a cast member, rehearsals are essential. Every day is very informative, fun and hard work. I received fantastic guidance from professionals within the business and learnt a lot along the way, as well as building great relationships with my casts.

After rehearsals it’s show time… what do you enjoy most about performing in our shows?

The moment before you go on stage, that butterfly feeling of what is going to happen right now and that feeling when you realise that your performance is giving enjoyment to the audience. The smiles and applause – wow!

What about the beautiful resorts; what’s it like to live there?

It’s a very sociable lifestyle, but you have to be careful not to burn the candle at both ends every night. I tend to go exploring – when I was in Egypt I saw the pyramids and went on many other excursions.

Keeping active is key to a healthy lifestyle, plus staying active stops the costumes from not fitting for the shows!

What is the best part about being a member of the ted team?

All the amazing opportunities I have had, working with professionals who have driven my talent artistically, giving me time to express it all on stage and off.

Also making friends for life and feeling part of a very large family who will protect you at every turn if needed.

What would you say to future cast members who are considering a job with us?

I would not be where I am now if I was not given the chance by ted 15 years ago. Everyone at ted cares and works with every performing artist to their strengths and then some.

If you want to be the best you can – here is where you can carve a career with the best in the business.
